Refugees Online

The Course:  Follow up and dissemination

Once the course is over it is important to try and keep in touch with the trainees and follow up their progress as they go back into their organisations and everyday lives.

  • Where possible, offer support and solutions on an individual basis (eg. helping to find equipment for a trainee to continue practising the new skills at home or at work, helping to get a site fully launched and publicised).
  • Bring former trainees together for further sessions on topics needing more practice, perhaps along with the next group of trainees.
  • Encourage trainees to join and contribute to the Refugees Online email forum and to keep in touch with each other.
  • Invite successful trainees to speak at seminars (eg. for future recruits), outlining how they set up their website and what they have learnt.
  • Disseminate what has been achieved by publicising in the local and other relevant communities, on the local media, via networks and email lists etc.
  • Pass on to Refugees Online your success stories, achievements and details of any events or media coverage - also details of any problems and how they were solved.  Click here for contact details.
